This Montessori-inspired wooden matching memory game was designed by shop owner and resident entomologist, Lea, and features 18 birch hard wood pieces hand stamped discs with 9 different insects. Each of the insects is depicted realistically to aid in the learning process. Insects include: praying mantis, damselfly, ant, ladybird beetle, wasp, bee, grasshopper, Carabid beetle, and June beetle.
Memory matching games help your child exercise their brain, improve their memory, and have fun! These realistically depicted insects will also allow you to help develop and extend vocabulary as they learn the names. As a bonus we include a laminated information card so that you can identify the insects included in the set!
Each piece is hand stamped with non-toxic teal ink and then sealed in our homemade beeswax wood polish upon request or left unfinished and higher contrast as pictured. They are 2" diameter circles x 1/4" thick. The discs and information card are also included in an organic cotton drawstring bag for easy clean-up and storage!
