Bundled together with an automatic 10% discount and combined shipping. We make each item to order so we are happy to customize your items for you! We make our organic vegetable dyes using local, organic ingredients and use compostable packaging. Each item comes individually wrapped in white tissue paper and washi tape, and you can add Gift Wrap at checkout to include an organic cotton drawstring bag and we're always happy to include a handwritten note for your gift recipient! 3. Choose a musical item to support cause and effect: classic wooden ring shaker OR our bell shaker.

We make your items to order in our Worcester, Massachusetts workshop, pack them up safely and you'll receive tracking as soon as your items ship!

Detailed descriptions of each item below:

1) Three Rings:

THREE BIRCH WOOD RINGS: These are recommended from the day of birth onward! We brought our set of wooden rings to the hospital for our daughter to hold while establishing nursing. It gave us an extra hand and kept her from scratching at her face (while soothing her with soft wood). Set of 3 Montessori inspired wooden rings measuring 2.5 inches. Each ring is sealed with a completely natural homemade blend of beeswax and olive oil, making them a wonderful alternative to more modern rings. Please note that if you select “unfinished” the rings will be slightly rough in texture.

The rings are available in a variety of colors including natural, pink, green, yellow, and purple. The colors are created through homemade organic vegetable dyes, using all natural ingredients: blueberries, red cabbage, beets, and turmeric. The colors are more subtle than commercial dyes, so please see the example picture of dyes in each of these colors.


2) Grasping Items:

GRASPING MATERIAL: This Montessori inspired grasping material is to be used starting at around 2.5 - 3 months old to help develop grasp. It is made out of birch hardwoods and secured with a leather lace for a total of about 7" long. This item is hand-finished in a completely natural homemade beeswax/olive oil blend.

We use vegetable-tanned leather made from the most superior skins available. The dyes are certified 100% Lead-Free and meet all requirements of the German Goods Ordinance, REACH (European Union), RoSH (U.K.), and CPSIA (U.S.) which require consumer goods to be free of Lead, AZO’s and carcinogenic chemicals.

INTERLOCKING DISCS: The interlocking discs are one of the first developmental materials that can be offered to infants. First, they will aid with the grasping reflex of the child as they learn to handle the material and even transfer it from hand to hand. Further, the design of this item allows it to gently roll away when placed on the floor - encouraging your little one to chase after it once they have started crawling! It measures about 3 1/2" long by 2 1/4" high. It is finished with a natural homemade blend of beeswax and olive oil. Options: Fixed (glued): These discs are glued together with non-toxic glue so that they may be used in hand-to-hand transfer by the child as well as rolling away when child first becomes mobile. Puzzle (un-glued): These discs are not glued together and fit together like a puzzle, allowing the child to practice fine motor skills. The item also rolls for movement and can be used for hand-to-hand transfer by the child, however the discs will come apart as they are designed to do so.

3) Musical Items:

CLASSIC RING SHAKER: Pleasing to both the eyes and ears. When shaken, the wood rings make a lovely sound! It is approximately 4 inches in length. The shaker is finished with a natural homemade blend of beeswax and olive oil. The ends are attached with non-toxic wood glue. The rings of our shaker are available in a variety of colors including natural, pink, olive, yellow, and purple. The colors are created through homemade dyes, using all natural ingredients: blueberries, red cabbage, beets, and turmeric. The colors are more subtle than commercial dyes, so please see the example of dyes in each of these colors. If you would like a tri-colored ring shaker, please add a comment when you're checking out about which color you'd like the rings to be, if no comment is included we will make the rattle in our standard and favorite combination of pink, yellow and purple.

BELL SHAKER: Please note that this bell shaker is not appropriate for children who are mouthing. It can be presented to children before they have begun mouthing, and again as a musical instrument after they are no longer mouthing objects. Because this material is made with small parts, it is important to always monitor play. This Montessori inspired bell shaker is great for any young one, starting as early as two months. The sound intrigues the baby as they learn how their movements can influence the pleasing sound of the bells. The small bells are attached to the ends of this 3/8 inch wooden dowel. Approximately 6 inches long, it's small enough for your baby to handle easily. The wood is finished in a natural homemade beeswax/olive oil blend.
